  • Prices in brackets ( ) are for groups of 20 or more.
  • Free admission for elementary, junior high and high school students (including their escorts) for school educational activities. (Please contact the centre in advance).
    • Free admission for holders of the Physical Disability Certificate, Rehabilitation Certificate, Mental Disability Certificate and Health Certificate for A-bomb Survivors and their carers (up to 1 person).
    • Reduction is also available on presentation of the Disability Certificate application ‘Mirairo ID’.
      (If the required information cannot be verified on the smartphone screen, you may be asked to present the original document.)

Show the membership card issued by the partner museum, a ticket stub from an exhibition at a partner museum, various partner cards, coupons, etc., and you will receive a discount on the admission fee to the Iwami Art Museum.

[Iwami Art Theater] Childcare Service

For most performances organised by Iwami Arts Theatre, a free childcare service is available.
For more information on the availability of this service, please see the introduction page of each performance.

When submitting an application, please note the following

  • The place of childcare depends on the performance. We will inform you at the time of application.
  • For children who need to feed, please bring milk and bottles.
  • Please bring a change of clothes (diapers) and a plastic bag (for soiling).
  • If you have to cancel childcare due to illness (fever, symptoms of illness, etc.), please be sure to inform us.
  • For children of primary school age, please bring games, books, etc. as there is no playground equipment.
  • Please let us know in advance if you have any points to bear in mind when providing childcare.

Accessibility

The facility makes use of a vast 37,000 m² site and is based on a barrier-free flat layout with no partitions between the two sides and no steps, to ensure harmony with the townscape and functional cooperation between the hall and the museum.
Barrier-free facilities include

Handicapped parking spaces

There is a disabled parking space with a canopy near the south entrance entrance (parking for four cars). After getting out of your car, you can enter the museum without any steps. The doors are automatic, so you can enter the building with peace of mind.

Braille Blocks

Braille blocks are laid along the corridor from each entrance to the general reception counter. Audio guidance is played when walking on the blocks, guiding pedestrians to the general reception counter.

Multi-Purpose Restroom

Multipurpose toilets are wheelchair accessible.
A waste sink with pouch flushing system is available for ostomates.
Folding beds for changing baby diapers are also available.
Private rooms with baby chairs and folding beds for changing diapers for babies are available in all toilets except the multipurpose toilets.

Nursing room

There is a room dedicated to breastfeeding. Folding beds for changing babies’ nappies are also available.

◎ Grand Toit is registered as a ‘Shimane Childcare Family Outing Support Facility (Baby Hot Room)’.
 Grand Toit offers the following facilities.

  • Facilities for changing nappies (baby seats, etc.) *In disabled toilets and nursing rooms
  • Facilities for breastfeeding *In the nursing room
  • Equipment to ensure the safety of infants while parents use the toilet, etc. (baby chairs) * In designated private rooms in all toilets (except the toilets on the 2nd floor of the main hall).

Coin-operated lockers for wheelchair users

Seated lockers are available for use by wheelchair users, and coin operated lockers are available for wheelchair users only.

Two models are available with lower inputs and button positions for banknotes and other items.

Accessibility in Theater

To be a customer-friendly theatre

The theatre provides a space where everyone can enjoy entertainment, from the facilities and equipment to the casual attention of the staff, so that everyone can enjoy themselves, including the disabled and elderly.

From the entrance to the stage

There are no steps between the main entrance and the foyer, from where the audience enters the foyer and takes their seats, and from where the performers enter the backstage entrance, through the backstage salon and onto the stage. Wheelchairs can also be used to move from the auditorium to the stage. We hope that more people will participate in the theatre project from the standpoints of both producers and viewers.

There are four wheelchair-accessible bleacher seats in each of the main and small halls.

In the Main Hall, a room is available in which children can be temporarily removed from the auditorium and watch the performance through glass if they are in a bad mood during the performance and may cause inconvenience to other viewers.
